Many years have gone by since I first started my journey on the grounds of Lucknow Christian Degree College. My interaction with students and staff alike has helped me understand the importance of connectivity with our economic and social environment.

 

Students today face a competitive world, and yet in my perspective, competition should not be the driving force behind academic effort. As educationists, we at Lucknow Christian Degree College believe in building a will to serve the society. In fact, all our efforts should be inspired by the will to contribute to the needs of the communities we belong to. Our curriculum too should be community based. I believe that the true study of a subject lies in finding solutions to practical problems faced by people from different strata.

 

Moreover, as a teacher of Physical Education, I understand the importance of physical and mental fitness among students to accomplish this goal. This is why we encourage students to participate in sports and other extra-curricular activities in and outside the college.

 

We have evolved as an academic community. From classroom teaching to online classes during the pandemic and back to teaching with upgraded technological aids, we have succeeded in beating the odds of the environment. We are now focussed on green initiatives, practical solutions to social and economic problems, spiritual progress and growth.

 

With many more miles to go, I am ever hopeful of a future that shines brighter as the years go by.
